A while ago, I was doing the usual online – paying bills, squaring things away with COX, looking at EnergySavings – and planning a trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. As a traveler, I enjoy taking in every aspect of a place I visit from the unique flavor to the culture to the accents to the traditions and, especially, the food. I love to eat and the only thing more exciting than the prospect of visiting someplace new is a chance to sample the local flavor.
Here are just a few of the fantastic restaurants I visited:
Al Fresco Italian Bistro – I had some of the best Italian food and one of the best martinis you could get in this country. I almost forgot I was living in the states the minute the authentic pasta collided with the drinks.
Blue Bayou Bar and Grill – The lounge was relaxing, the service was fantastic, and the kitchen was exhibition style which means I had the pleasure of watching my food professionally prepared before I professionally devoured it.
Jazzeppi’s Ristorante and Martini Bar – Fresh gulf seafood, finely prepared Angus beef, prime veal, you better believe I spent some time here. And the martinis – you get the point. Enough said.
